IT Support Analyst

Purpose of job

  • Acting as a face for our Digital/IT team, this role is a key point of contact for end users for IT incidents, service requests and communication with internal and external parties.
  • The service desk is a critical function of business operations and needs to work closely with users in a fast-paced, team environment with solid communication skills

Key Roles and Responsibilities
As a Service Desk Engineer, your typical day might include:

Incident Management

  • Take ownership of incidents and service requests and managing them in a logical and methodical manner from the first point of contact through to resolution, proactively keeping the customer informed of progress o
  • Ensuring all incidents are progressed & cleared within SLA – escalating to other internal and external teams as appropriate
  • Maintain and develop knowledge and skills to assist with first time incident resolution and problem resolution

Problem Management

  • Identify repeat issues or service risks and assist in prevention
  • Proactively identify issues and resolutions to improve our customer service and internal processes and operations

Vendor Management & Finances

  • Obtaining quotes and managing the purchasing and invoicing for IT equipment and licenses
  • Maintain good relationships with our vendors obtaining the best value for the organization

Teamwork & Sharing Knowledge

  • Sharing knowledge with team colleagues and users
  • Create knowledge articles for the self-service portal

Infrastructure Knowledge

  • Windows/Mac OS deployment and support
  • User hardware/software/peripheral support
  • Network troubleshooting and support
  • Hardware/Software procurement and asset management
  • Providing support for Audio-Video/Video Conferencing

Ability and desire to learn new technologies and to broaden your skills beyond being a service desk engineer

Job Experience, Functional Knowledge and Qualifications

  • 5+ years hands-on IT Support experience
  • 3+ years of experience supporting Office 365 and Microsoft Windows 10
  • Experience with Office 365 administration, especially Exchange, Teams and SharePoint
  • Experience working with vendors managing SLA, reporting, and incident resolution
  • IT purchasing experience in getting quotations, processing invoices, and receiving and managing assets. • Network knowledge to troubleshoot related issues
  • Skills in PC repair, troubleshooting, deployment, and liquidation
  • Experience with Meraki/Cisco or other next-gen firewalls
  • Experience with IT asset management and deployment tools such as Desktop Central
  • Experience with user setup and configuration on Windows systems
  • Audio/Visual and video conferencing support
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English


  • Industry certification in: Microsoft MCSE, Microsoft 365, AWS, Security, or ITIL
  • Project Management - running small-scale projects from inception to completion


  • Being Proactive : Identify issue/request trends and recommend and implement solutions to prevent recurrence. You don’t wait to be told to do something
  • Taking Ownership : Be responsible for your actions and the tasks undertaken to ensure these are completed in the agreed timelines. Flag risks that may affect meeting objectives and provide solutions to overcome these
  • Show Confidence : Contribute in discussions and meetings. Lead assigned initiatives and contribute to others. Get involved
  • Demonstrate Curiosity : Ask questions about your work, goals, processes and the company. Present findings in team meetings
  • Willingness to Learn: Build skills and capabilities to provide L3 and project support. Run small-scale projects through to completion
  • Be a Team Player : You want to share your knowledge and experience openly to help others and to help the team grow
