Senior Manager / Architect (Data Warehouse) (Enterprise Scale)

Our client is a leader in its industry and cordially looking for a talented canidate to will lead the data analytics architecture capability evaluation and study for the company:


  • Prototype business solutions, evaluate or pilot business-enabling solution.
  • Ensure business alignment by translating business strategy and direction into technical vision, strategy and roadmap
  • Lead the development of IT architecture and facilitate its adoption; review technology selection and system designs for compliance with established architecture
  • Lead in delivering the architectural design of enterprise scales, end-to-end solution for major projects; guide projects in their technology and vendor selections
  • Provide high level consultancy or advice to management and technical teams to assist in decision-making.
  • Monitor and track progress of work products to ensure deliver according to predetermined estimates and plans.


  • An university degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related disciplines
  • Have 10 plus years of experience in technology with at least 2 years of architectural responsibilities (application or technical architecture)
  • Have current and strong development skills enabling the ability to bring architecture definition to actual implementation
  • Have excellent knowledge of software development life cycle (from concept to deployment and support) across multiple methodologies in particular waterfall and agile practices with ability to apply these
  • Have leadership skills - be able to lead discussions as well as strong delivery focus
  • Have good stakeholder management, influencing, and communication skills (English written and verbal) at all levels in the organization
  • Proficiency in Cantonese and Putonghua (written and spoken) is a strong advantage
  • The candidate is expected to have experience in the architecting of large scale data lake system. Ideally the candidate will have experience with the following platforms, tools and processes:
  • Data Science Languages: R, Python
  • Visual Analytic Tools: SAS, Tableau
  • ETL Tools : Informatica/Talend
  • Data Warehouse technology: Oracle Exadata, SQL Server, Teradata
  • New Data Lake technology: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Hive, MapReduce Messaging technology: Solace/Tibco
  • The custom software is being built using iterative development processes leveraging DevOps principles at scale to achieve Continuous Integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD). The DevOps tools being used for deployment include Bit Bucket; Jenkins; Urban Code; Jira and associated add-ons and tools
