Hospital Play Services
Playright provides Hospital Play Service at six public hospitals, closely collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide psychosocial support to hospitalized children by using various PLAY interventions throughout their patient pathway. We support the child, their family and the medical team to strengthen holistic paediatric care, and mitigate the stress and potential trauma that hospitalized and sick children may experience.
Job Duties
- Conduct research activities related to the hospital play service project.
- Assist in designing research methodologies and data collection strategies for project evaluation, including patient experience assessments and effectiveness of hospital play interventions.
- Collect, organize, and analyze data gathered during the research period.
- Prepare research reports, presentations, and summaries of findings for internal review and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the Hospital Play Service Team to integrate research findings into the development and improvement of play interventions.
- Support the administrative work of the Hospital Play Service Team and work with the hospital and university for research study.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to research activities and project evaluation.
- Coordinate project-related meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
- Stay updated on relevant research trends, publications, and best practices in hospital play services and child life programs.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Psychology, Public Health, Statistics, Social Sciences, or related field.
- With 2 years of research experience in a related field is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and data analysis software.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills - both written and verbal in Chinese and English.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Chinese and English.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Desirable skills at administrative work
- Understanding of child development and pediatric healthcare settings is a plus.
